Wildwood Oak Winery 2021 Abba Vineyard Syrah –

Madelyn’s Falls

This is a full-bodied Syrah with intense aromas and flavors including black fruit such as blackberries, blueberries, black plums, and black cherries. The wine is also complex, yet balanced with a variety of floral including lavender, Herbs of Provence and baking spices. There is a hint of leather, cedar, vanilla, white pepper and smoke with a long commanding finish.

The pairing: Meats like grilled steaks like tri-tip or porterhouse or braised meats like short ribs, gamey meats like duck, lamb like lamb chops with a chimichurri sauce, and pork like BBQ ribs.

The nose: Intense aromas of rich black fruit like blackberries cherries, with floral like lavender and violet, with baking spices and vanilla.

The palate: Upfront, there is an intense ripe black fruit, yet nicely balanced. This is followed by baking spices, a hint of vanilla, leather, cedar, white pepper and smoke with a long commanding finish.
